This level 7 arrangement features an interlocking set of pim and pmi arpeggios. In turns, each player takes on a melodic or an accompaniment role. Make sure students understand dynamic balance between melody and accompaniment. One approach is to repeat a short phrase asking students to shift their attention to parts they are not playing. Ask the students to play using extremes of dynamic balance (far too quiet or far too loud), before arriving at a feeling of cohesion. Part 1 plays a few high notes in the final measures. Ask students to rely on the rote text provided, using the notation as reinforcement.
