 This level 2 piece makes use of many “rote” elements. Students playing notes on the lower three strings should pay close attention to instructions about string and finger locations. There are many dynamic indications. Be sure to stress the musical elements as well as the technical issues. Remind students to practice shifting their eyes in advance of repeated section. As always, stress the importance of beautiful tone and cohesive ensemble playing.
