This arrangement provides a number of useful configurations. To perform the most elementary reading of this piece, you may use all level 2 players. Guitar parts 1a, 2, and 3 present a canon at the unison. All players may learn the melody as a group (part 1a measures 1-18), before staggering entrances to reproduce the written score.

You may also add guitar part 1b, and/or guitar part 4:

Part 1b requires players to move the melody up an octave. While marked level 9, this music is also accessible to less advanced players.

Part 4 combines the roles of bass and accompaniment, providing an easy transition into the level 5 skill of playing two-voiced music.

Additional performance suggestions
You will find an English translation of the lyrics written underneath each part. After students thoroughly learn their parts, you may wish to ask them to sing as they play. You may also wish to collaborate (if applicable) with your school’s choral department, asking the guitar students to accompany singers.
