Adelita is a lovely, melodic piece in 3/4 typically played with Lagrima. These pieces serve as a set of contrasting Spanish works in a moderate tempo that highlight the ensemble’s attention to phrasing. Francisco Tárrega is one of the most significant composers for the classical guitar. Composing primarily in the late 1800s in Spain, most of his pieces are considered staples in guitar repertoire today.
