This is an arrangement of a 3 part vocal canon. This arrangement is in the key of g minor, allowing the students to practice 2nd position reading. In this case most notes are found in second position, and a few notes are found in third position. For the purposes of this study, students should strictly follow the following formula for playing in 2nd position: Play every note on the 2nd fret with the first finger Play every note on the 3rd fret with the second finger Play every note on the 4th fret with the third finger Play every note on the 5th fret with the fourth finger In the brief sections marked in 3rd position the students should adjust this formula to reflect the shift.
