This is a level 6 piece that focuses on pim and mip arpeggios. The theme and accompanying arpeggios get passed around to each of the three parts. The mechanics of right hand finger extension and preparation on the string are the most important technical considerations. Each variation includes a suggested tempo/character mark. Be sure to work up to faster tempi gradually. The process for teaching arpeggios that include descending motions (playing m on string 1 followed by i on string 2 for example) is different than teaching pim arpeggios. With pmi arpeggios each finger fixes on the string individually before playing, as opposed to pim arpeggios in which i and m extend and fix on the strings as a group.
