This video demonstrates how to teach PIM arpeggios to your class. PIM arpeggios are the first type of arpeggio that students will play because of the simple transition from IM Alternation. This is also the point that the technique known as extension timing is introduced. More information on extension timing with close-up of the right hand performing PIM arpeggios can be found in additional videos. Note that the teacher is modeling and giving students verbal cues step-by-step while executing the arpeggio properly.
Student Will:
Place right hand P on string 4
Place right hand I finger on string 2
Place right hand M finger on string 1
Play P on open string 4
Play I finger on open string 3
Play M finger while immediately placing P on string 4
Play P on open string 4 while immediately planting I finger on string 2 and M finger on string 3
