Kemp's Jig audio
Kemp's Jig is a well known solo lute work written during the renaissance period (mid to late 1500's). Part 1 is written as late level 2 using fixed finger or an early level 4 using alternation and an A on the first string fret 5. Part 2 is written as a middle to late level 2 with fixed finger or a level 3 with alternation. Part 3 is a late level 1 that uses the open bass strings and 3 notes that will be introduced by rote. The melodic material features sequence and thematic variation. Follow the dynamic contour to bring these moments out.
