This arrangement requires a very strong player for part 1. Less advanced players may be used for parts 2 and 3. The character of this piece should be light and bouncy, with crisp articulation and clear dynamic contrasts. Special care should be taken in all parts to observe dynamic and articulation markings. Many great recordings of this piece exist in the original keyboard form and as a transcription for solo guitar. You may wish to expose the students to a recording of this piece by the great Russian pianist Vladimir Horowitz, or the fantastic Australian guitarist John Williams.
