Level
3

In Level 3, students will switch from using fixed position strokes to alternating their strokes back and forth between the I finger and the M finger on each string. This technique is called alternation. Now, instead of playing successive notes on a single string with one finger, students will switch back and forth between two fingers (I and M).

Attached is a technical sequence to help students switch from fixed finger strokes to alternating. This sequence intended to be taught by rote and is a great warmup to use for the early stages of Level 3.
