The Bending River is a piece written to develop the skill of ‘string crossing’ with the alternation technique we’ve been working on in level 3. String crossing is simply crossing between strings while maintaining alternation strokes on strings 1, 2 and 3.

Pay special attention to not repeat strokes while moving between strings. The guitar 3 part includes special right hand fingerings that are a combination of ‘fixed-finger’ and ‘alternation’ techniques. Carefully follow all right-hand fingerings!
