Intersection
Level
3

In the previous piece, January Embers, you were introduced to the technique of “alternation”. In Intersection, you will continue to use that technique and begin to build a comfort level with switching back and forth between your I finger and M finger on the same string.

Remember to pay attention to your stroke technique (always pluck sideways, through the string using your big knuckle) and your wrist position (keep your wrist straight and a little arched)! And as always, be as expressive as you can be.

You will see a lot of dynamic markings, including many crescendos and decrescendos. These are your tools to make this piece sound truly beautiful, so don’t be afraid to be very musical!
