Six Feet Together

“Six Feet Together” was piece written by ACG staff member Justice Phillips in the spring semester of 2021 in collaboration with Lively Middle School’s Orchestra, Guitar, and Dance programs. This collaboration was special in many ways, check out the feature from Austin Classical Guitar. The musical and technical demands for middle school orchestra and guitar students are well balanced in “Six Feet Together” allowing the performers a chance to focus on the collaborative process of the ensemble.

The movement shown in this performance was choreographed by the dance teacher Claire Barclay and students at Lively Middle School in Austin TX. Your version of Six Feet Together might draw inspiration from the movement in the video. Your dance collaborators may decide to go a completely different direction. As always, we encourage student participation and co-creativity when it comes to building projects like this. Feel free to reach out to us if you need any information or suggestions regarding your guitar, orchestra, and dance collaboration.
