This piece was inspired by the music of French impressionist composer Erik Satie, in particular his Gymnopedies and Gnossiennes. Written to create a colorful and introspective atmosphere that was also simple and delicate.

It begins and ends in a similar character as Satie's Gymnopedies, but in the section that follows there's a change in character which then builds and becomes a bit more dramatic before returning once again to the dreamy Satie-esque atmosphere.
