Op. 31 #8 is a study originally written for solo guitar by Fernando Sor. It is a multi level piece with a few options to accommodate levels 1 through 8. Part 1 can be played at both level 4 and level 8. Part 2 can be played as a late level 2 or level 3. Part 3 can be played as a level 4 or simplified as a level 1 with a few notes introduced by rote. The harmonic structure, A section in A major B section in A minor, provides an opportunity to introduce the concept of parallel keys.
