Guitar Time is gentle, beautiful and evocative - a great way to begin class! This piece can be introduced to the class on their very first day of guitar. Use the sequence document, score, and coloring pages to set your students up for a fun time of musical exploration!

Action Game!
For this activity, you will guide students to creatively engage with the music by changing song lyrics and incorporating actions. Start by explaining that they can modify the lyrics based on actions to perform to the music. For example, “It’s guitar time! Time for jumping. Time for clapping.”  Practice these actions together, then have the class perform the actions while you or another group of students perform the music. You can also have a few students at a time do movements like skipping or tiptoeing around the room while the rest of the class plays the song.
