Proper Sequencing: Baseball

In this video, Dr. Robert Duke offers suggestions of how to give your students an authentic music learning experience. Although students can be technically limited when beginning music instruction, the technical demands of playing an instrument should be taught in a musical context. This means that students will acquire the technique in the context of expressive music making. Teachers can then sequence instruction so that the technical demands of music making increase while students consistently focus on beautiful and expressive performance.
